Kite
Skills 1.0 $190
This lesson is for the total beginner who has no kiteboarding experience.
The fastest and safest way to learn how to kiteboard is to develop
solid kite skills before you attempt to use a board. During this
lesson you will rig, launch, fly, troubleshoot, land, and de-rig
a full sized 4-line inflatable kite. You will also learn how to
body drag, use a harness and self rescue with the kite. Other topics
include basic safety, selecting the correct equipment, safety systems,
local site orientation, and basic kiteboarding etiquette. The class
is usually 2-2.5 hours.
Water Skills 2.0 $190
This lesson is designed for anyone who has has taken our Kite Skills
lesson or a similar course elsewhere. You should be able to fly
a full sized kite with safe, confident control (see our Kite Skills
class). You will be introduced to water re-launching, water starting
and the basic principles of board control. This
lesson will help you develop the skills you need to get up on the
board. By the end of this session you
will have completed the basic foundation you need to kiteboard on
your own. The class is usually 2-2.5 hours.
New Kiters Package $350
The NRP is a combination of the Kite Skills and Water Skills classes
and is the most effective way to go from having little or no kiteboarding
experience to being able to ride on your own. We recommend the New
Kiter Package for anybody who is serious about entering the sport
of kiteboarding. The NKP can be split up over two days or done
in one session.
Ultimate
Kiter $500
The ultimate kiter is the perfect weekend kiteboarding clinic and
takes the New Kiters Package a step further to ensure you have the
skills and confidence to walk away from your lessons ready to ride.
We designed this lesson from feedback from our students who wanted
ane extra two hours of board skills instruction. The Ultimate Kiter
is done over two days, with 3 hour sessions each day and includes
our chase boat.
Progression Clinic 3.0
$200
Now that you know the basics, take the next step. Correct your bad
habits and learn correct body position, transitions, riding upwind,
and/or jumping. This class is taught as a two hour clinic, with
your instructor giving you tips as you ride. This lesson includes
our AVON Inflatable Chase boat for support.
New Gear Orientation $89
Got some new gear and aren't quite sure how to rig it? Let us help
you get your new rig tuned up! Our instructors have experience flying
almost every different kite on the market, so we'll be able to get
you rigged up and ready to go in a hurry. This lesson lasts one
hour and is not meant to take the place of an instructional lesson.
Private Lessons
If your goals are beyond the scope of our standard classes, if you
have unique skills and/or experience, or if you prefer one-on-one
focused instruction then you are ready for private lessons. During
your private lesson you and your instructor will work closely together
towards efficiently meeting your goals during the time period that
you decide is best. Common topics include riding upwind, jumping,
riding switch, transitions, new equipment orientation, basic skill
review, riding in the surf, and basic tricks.
